William Levens, Alderman and five times Mayor of the city of Oxford, died 12th April, 1616, aged 100 years; descended from Levenz, of Levynz Hall, Westmoreland. Arms confirmed on the Herald's Visitation to Oxfordshire, 1574.

Arms: Argent, a hazel branch proper, surmounted by a bend sable, charged with three escallops of the filed.
Crest: A squirrel sejant proper, within a wreath of hazel leaves vert.
